  • A very good place to buy some food and drinks when you are going away for a daytrip to the beach or one of the National Park around Tela, is the supermarket at the southside of the Parque Central. This is the only big supermarket in Tela, and here you can find everything you need and don't need for a day trip: all kinds of cold drinks, chips, cookies, bread...

    You are not allowed to take you bag into the supermarket: they have lockers where you have to put your bag in before entering.

    This is the main shopping and commercial street in Tela. The two main banks, Bancahsa and Banco Atlantida are on this street. This picture is taken from the old bridge looking towards the central park at the end.
    Also along this street is Tuty's, Restaurant Los Angeles, Garifuna Tours, The Photographic Studio and a few shops that sell clothing, hardware etc.
