    Just outside the maingate of the Copán complex you will find a ridiculously cheap souvenir stall that is rn by some local people. At a carpet on the ground, they sell all kinds of souvenirs like wooden and stone statues, jewelry and local clothes. Different from what you would expect just outside a worldfamous attraction like Copán, the prices are very normal for Hondurese standards, which is very cheap.

    For a stone statue of bout 15 centimetres high, I had to pay about 2 dollars. An even bigger one of 20 centimetres high would cost 3 dollars. One thing: if you would like to try to bargain and make these prices even lower: waste of time. There is nothing they can/want to do about these prices, but to be honest: there is no need to anyway!
