Antoneys Cay Things to Do

  • Swimming with dolphins

While we were staying at AKR we got a chance to learn about dolphins and had the pleasure of swimming with them in their world. The facilities at AKR are very good for learning about the dolphins and the instructors knew every thing I could ask.

  • Scuba Diving sites

The picture here shows the dive sites that are frequented by AKR. Each of the sites has something unique to offer in the way of fish, coral and other underwater wonders. One of the nicest things is that you will dive a different site each dive and never dive the same spot twice in your week long visit.

  • The Aguila Wreck Dive

The Agular is an older wreck that sits in about 80 to 120 feet of water. There are two resident moray eels that can be found here that are very friendly. The larger of the eels (a green one) will come up to you and tap you. (Remember to not feed them or put your fingers out). There is a very nice swim through at the bow of the wreck which is facing...

You can get just about any kind of tee-shirt or tropical shirt you can think of as well as many local handy-crafts that are made on the island here.

Remember that if you pay in US $ you might get limpiera back as change so bring a big bucket to carry your change back in.

The current rate of exchange is about 16.5 to 1$

What to buy: Tee-shirts are about $18 here and can be had cheaper in westend but without the AKR logo on them.

What to pay: The local crafts are a bit pricey but good quality. If you want cheap got to Westend but remember you get what you pay for.

With just about everything that you do you will find someone taking pictures or shooting a video which they will try to sell you later in the day.

Unique Suggestions: Make sure that you get the DVD version of the pictures and video. The price is not that bad.

You may even find yourself the star of the resorts promo video.

Fun Alternatives: Bring a few under water cameras so that you can take a few of your own pictures.
