The sunsets.

Spending a week in Roatàn. Snorkling, lying on the beach, and having Cuba libres at night.
Visit and stay at Copan Ruins... and doit before going to Tikal (at Guatemala).
Trinfo de la Cruz, garifuna beach town east of Tela. The Punta Izopo excursion goes there for lunch. Also, it's a nice bicycle ride from Tela. Good fish lunch, beach, and hammocks.

Trujillo - The church and the mountain. I had to wait 3 days for the sun to hit the mountain top, but it was worth it. The church is well attended, even for daily mass; it's a live community!

Trujillo town park, modern library, and 300-year-old Pango trees.

Utila - social life! Besides diving (which I didn't do) Utila is a great place to meet people. Lots of restaurants and pubs. And of course, the beach and snorkeling.

If you like the offbeaten path, the only gringos in Colomoncagua and Esperanza were either in the Peace Corps or were missionaries.
