This is a great thing to do when you have about 3 to 4 hours to kill and you will get to see alot in this ride. The ride starts out leaving the farm, after a short time you come across the old mill, very cool. At this point your horse may stop at will for a nibble and no matter what you try he's not going any where! After a few minutes the horse decided it was time to go, because he sure wouldn't listen to me when I asked! Now on to the next point in this adventure. See next.

As the ride continues start going into the Rainforest, take out your cameras, there are so many types of tree and much more. The bamboo in this photo was as big a round as my arm, OHM! The horses are very well trained and the guides are right there if there is an issue. There is 1 guide per couple, they will take your camera a take photos of you and bring it back at every cool points on the trip.

As we went long through the rainforest we came across this small farm in an opening. The crop around here is mostly coffee and we were told he had recently started here. This small structure is the home, as you go along your will find many more like this up in the mountains.

The next stage takes you up high for a nice view, this area is where they use to place Polo. The view from up here was perfect, you could see for miles. Here would be another place to grab your camera! May I suggest extra batteries, this trip takes 3 hours!

After you leave the Polo Field you start down to the beach where you will take a ride in the ocean with a horse. They switch out the horses for different ones to give the ones a break after their long walk. You grab a new horse after getting changed and off you go into the ocean for a smal run back and forth a few times and that's the trip. This was so well worth the money and time, it was a great experence for both of us and would highly suggest you try if able. Please see the website for limitations.

Oh Yeah, I almost forgot, you get a ride home too, relax and enjoy the view beacuase it takes about an hour or more to get back to Montego Bay from here. We saw many broke down cars on the side of the road asked why, the driver told us that there are no towing companies to Jamaica so if you break down, well that's where it stays. So if you ever thought about opening a towing company I think we found your spot!

Horse back riding on the beach

This is a must do if you are near Negril, take a tour by horse back with Chukka Blue through the Blue Mountains and on to the beach. You will even get to ride the horses in the ocean. This is so worth every penny! The ride take abput 2 1/2 hours total and take you all through the Rain Forest the Blue Mountains and down to the beach so you can run your horse in the ocean. The guides are wonderful and very friendly and if you have a camera they will take it from you several times to take a photo of you and your partner. The horses are very well tempered and easy to ride even for a first time rider. So follow us through this wonderful journey.
