The Ruins in Ocho Rios: Sit outside among the Waterfalls

by Lauri_C

A reasonably price buffet featuring soups, salads, Jamaican Jerk dishes, Chinese food and desserts also includes beer or rum punch. Sit outside at the bottom of the Waterfalls. And after you eat, you can walk along the property to see the flora and across the bridges which cross the waterfall.

Boston Beach Jerk Stand: The Birthplace of "Jerk"

by Rasta_Rob

Boston Beach is a roadside collection of outdoor jerk pits, where you can buy jerk pork and chicken right off the grill. Boston is where Jamaican 'jerk' is said to have originated, and it is the spiciest and niciest stuff around. Jerk Pork, Jerk Chicken, Festival

LTU Pub: LTU Pub in the cliff area in...

by diver-x

LTU Pub in the cliff area in the south of Negril was our favorite by far, and not just because we were staying at LTU Villas. The food was consistantly delicious and the service was excellent! This venue has the same great sunset view that Rick's has, with a more intimate atmosphere. This was one of the few restaurants we ate at that was frequented by locals as much as tourists. I loved the schnitzel! And breakfast was always perfect, and very reasonably priced.

French Caribbean Cuisine at its Best: Charela Inn on the beach has...

by Radiomom

Charela Inn on the beach has absolutely the best food on the island. The owner is a Frenchman, with a Jamaican wife and their menu is always just right. We didn't stay here this last trip, but ate there three (or was it four?) nights anyway. Have the three-course special of the night. You can't miss. And the service is unmatched. The staff has been there for years and obviously enjoy their jobs. They have a wine cellar! And very nice choices that won't break your budget. Negril has very lovely sunsets, too. Anything 'coconut rundown'King fish, Snapper, chicken...we're usually there out of season for lobster, but who cares when there are so many wonderful options. The price range I picked at least 3 courses and a bottle of wine.

Juicy J's: Local Favorite

by OCNJBritt

The food at Juicy J's is cheap and very tasty. The menu consists entirely of Jamaican fare. I recommend the Jerk Chicken and trying some of their homemade juice.Juicy J's has no ambience to speak of, it is very casual, small and in the open air and the service is very friendly. If you want to buy souvenirs, it is just around the corner from the local market in downtown Negril. Jerk Chicken

Cucina Room: At Sandals Royal Carribean, Montego Bay

by tpangelinan

Very popular, book ahead early. I hated it. Mike hated it. The other couple we went with liked it only ok. If you want Itallian, go to Europe, not Jamaica. We liked this restaurant the least of all. It was a big wait to get a reservation too, must be the view! Go to the Bay side or the Thai place instead.Nice sunset.Open only at night, reservations a must, book early!

Everywhere in Jamaica: Jamaica is...Jerk!

by Joan58

The Jamaican cooking has many delicious dishes. The most famous one is the jerk, which is a grilled pork, chicken or fish they pickle with a hot sauce. The jerk derives from the way of cooking used by Maroons, the rebel slaves who ran away up into the Cockpit Country. The sauce includes many ingredients, among which the pimento, a typical Jamaican pepper. Originally they cooked the meat on a ground hole filled with burning coals and covered with pimento wood. Actually these were the first barbecues. Today they use braziers made with old oil cans. You can find people who are cooking and sell the jerk everywhere in Jamaica. I think it's better if you try the jerk at the restaurant!!

Thai Resturant on Sandals Private Island: Thai Resturant on private island

by tpangelinan

They take you on a boat. A glass wall keeps most of the wind off of you. Views, atmosphere, and food are amazing. Book reservation only spot early. We went twice. It was the best! Everything was great, from appetizers to desserts, staff was the best of any Sandals Resturant. You can order two dinners if you want, very romantic. Couples only resort.

All Inclusive - Sandals

by jonkaren3

Sandals had several restaurants to choose from. We mostly ate at this large buffet every day. The variety of food was excellent. Just about anyone can find SOMETHING they like to eat. The service was great. I loved the employees of Sandals-Negril.
