When travelling around town there will be men who will try to sell you drugs and women. They were pretty agressive. It can become pretty annoying.
Miss Brown's: what a rip-off!!! The only fun we had was talking with this little guy and he seemed pretty bored with us.
Carnival in Kingston is a treat....
Don't do any tours that include shopping. The people are extremely pushy, and they don't take 'no' for an answer. Some of the shops are secluded and a bit scary.
The locals are friendly enought but watch out at night as they pop out from everywhere trying to sell you things and their heads are usually on a different planet. Just a polite no thanks works.
Craft Markets in general.........thye are a scary place to be
BEWARE:The Jamaican dollar is worth a lot less than an American one. This often confuses tourists and they are taken advantage of!
Be prepared to encounter pushy vendors when away from your resort. If you like to haggle...great. If not, stay away from the shopping areas.
