A large suitcase to hold all of the beautiful souvenirs, along with a beach bag and whatever type of bag you want to bring along on a bus tour. It's hot, so dress for blazing, brilliant sunshine! You won't need any warm clothing in Martinique as it is usually warm 24hrs. However, it is very humid (in a pleasant way) and this means that it is very hard to get anything to dry once it has got wet.In the evenings you might want to wear long sleves and trousers to protect from mosquito bites You can buy everything you need in Fort-de-France, but it is advisable to have a MOSQUITO NET and plenty of repellant / bite cream. Films can be expensive in the villages - so stock up in Forte-de-France. Depending on the time of year, it is not uncommon to have a sudden thunderstorm and torrential rain. There is little warning, but these can pass within 1/2 to 2 hours. You might want to take a light weight rain coat, and waterproof rucksack to keep things dry.
