Karel's bar in Kralendijk, Bonaire by Cabana_Boy Karel’s is perhaps the best bar for watching the sun set below the horizon. Built on a small and somewhat unstable wooden pier, Karel’s has an unobstructed western view over the bay and Klein Bonaire and they have a really cute Venezuelan chica for a bartender. And yes, there is a green “flash” at the exact moment the sun slips below the horizon… Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

The waterfront in Kralendijk at night. by diver-x The waterfront area in Kralendijk seemed to be the place where most tourists hung out. There are several restaurants, a small shopping mall and a marina there. While we were there, a regatta was going on, so the sailors and spectators whooped it up every night. There isn't much night life on Bonaire. Most likely you'll be too tired from diving all day long to do much at night. If, however, you're still feeling up to it, there are two casinos on the island and a number of bars. Most places, however, seem to be closed by 11-12 at the latest. The casinos are at the Plaza Resort and at Divi Flamingo. Both within walking distance from each other.
Like anything else on Bonaire, relatively casual. That said, going into the casino barefoot and wearing swimming trunks might get you turned back. Leave a Comment Theme: Casino

by rickscafe53 Some nights they have Mariachi, some nights they have Reggae, some nights, who knows?
Younger women should wear very short skirts with heels and low cut tops. Older women should wear longer but not too long, more eligant dresses. Men...Who cares, wear anything that covers up that big ol' beer belly and doesn't stink too much. Actually, I don't think there is a dress code.
