    Ouch!!!

Stay on the path unless you have very heavy soled shoes or you will end up picking cactus thorns out of your feet, like me.
Stay on the roads with your truck or you will be changing a flat tire. Cactus thorns can penetrate these too.

    Rincon Cemetery

The village of Rincon is the first settlement on Bonaire. There is a small Cemetery in the center of town. Above ground family crypts painted bright colors are decorated with ceramic tiles, terrazo crosses and ornate cast metal nameplates.

    Ceru Largu Overlook

In the center of the island just south of the Montana region and east of the exclusive Santa Barbara region there is a overlook with a lovely view of the island. It isn't far off the main road that takes you to the Washington-Slagbaai National Park. If you are going north on Kaminda Durubu there will be a paved turn off on your right. (where the main road turns into Kaminda Tras Di Montana)

    Horseback riding at Lac Bay

Most sightseers stick to the west side of the island, but there are things to see & do on the east as well. On the eastern corner of Lac Bay, we found a horseback riding tour that will take you through a mangrove or to indian caves. You can also hang out in a small village and meet the local fishermen, or enjoy the quiet beach.

There is a large national park on the island (large in relation to the size of the island, that is). In this park is a large lake where flamingos breed. This is one of three places in the world where flamingos breed!

Bring a visit to Lac Bay at the side from Sorobon. There is a true Surfers Paradise. The sphere is very relaxed and there is some wind! (also very nice when it's a hot day).
And on the other side of the bay there you can find the big shells.

At the end of the main road is Playa Frans.
It is a small fishing village where you are sure to see flamingos in the salt pans.

    Beach

Take the dirt road around the BOPEC oil terminal, you will come to a small road marked Nukove Beach. This is a good place for snorkeling and diving.
