As you drive alomg the southern portion of the island, you will see blinding white hills that look like snow.These hills are stockpiles of solar salt.
Early in the morning you can see the Pink Flamingos feeding in the marshes at the south end of Bonaire.
The south of Bonaire is dominated by salt manufacturing. Years ago, slaves were used for labor in salt production. These tiny cabins were their homes.
What you really must do is visit Klein (small) bonaire!
Klein bonaire is a small island for the coast of bonaire. There is nothing to do on the island, but it's a great place for snorkling.
