....look for the ladies behind...
Favorite thing: ....look for the ladies behind the trees, downtown Willemstad. Don't question your sanity if you think you're seeing faces peering out of the trees in front of the Government Palace. You are! Resident wood sculptor Mac Alberto has gone through a lot of effort to create this double-take vision by carving intricate faces, animals and other items out of the wood here. Although it may remind you of Disney's 'Pocahontas' and the kindly wooden grandmother, be forewarned…some of the more elusive carvings are definitely not for children. Enjoy!
Art as a souvenir!
Fondest memory: Could be your face, or your kids', on a pan lid!
You could call Pacho Weeber on 8641147. Here are some samples of his work on oil barrel lids.
Carnival: Party Time!
Fondest memory: Yep! This is me singing with a band during the 1992 Carnival Parade. I've been dressed like that from 8 in the morning till after midnight, when we had a party with our Carnival group.

Favorite thing: ....visit one of the best conserved landhouses at plantation Knip. This is a more realistic view of the same landhouse at Knip that Fred Breebaart painted.
