Well I thought that Vegas was the only place where they had slot machines at the airport. Geez, was I wrong...lol...as you walk off the plane, you here that distinct 'cha ching' of the slot machine. Of course I could not pass that up!

You must dive if you go to Curacao. That's the best thing you can do here. I followed a three day diving training, I got my PADI certification, and here I am, with hundreds of fish around me.

The aquarium is one of the best I've ever been to because it's interactive. Although it's expensive to do, you can snorkel or scuba dive in the tanks. You don’t even have to be a certified diver. You can do a short PADI approved class before you go down on a shallow supervised dive. If you aren’t into this, you can still snorkel. You actually get to feed the animals - stingrays, turtles, even sharks!! How cool is that? :)

There is also an outdoor reef that you can dive in.

There are several packages to choose from, varying in length and amount of interaction with the "inhabitants.”

They have many tanks, lagoons, and other types of aquatic habitats. If you want to stay dry, you can check out all of these from land. They also have an underwater tube to walk through so you can watch the divers feed the animals or get a really good “fish-eye” view of the fish as they swim by you!

	Floating Markets

Check out the boats that come in from Venezuela every morning. Fisherman come in with their boats full of fresh catches, and others will come over with fresh fruits and vegies.

Even if you aren't interesting in buying anything, this is worth seeing for the cultural experience of it. It's very popular amongt the residents of Willenstad, and it's fun to watch people bargaining in several langagues.

	A visit to the Ostrich Farm

Come and visit the Curaçao Ostrich Farm and take the opportunity to meet these fascinating birds up-close and personal. You can touch them, feed them even ride them (for real daredevils only). Every hour a safari truck will take you on a remarkable tour through the farm corals where the ostriches live. All you have to do is announce yourself at the restaurant that is located at the entrance. You can also eat ostrich meat dishes and buy some souveniers at the shop.

I wish I had a picture of this - but of course I had just run out of film!

Out by the cruise ships, someone put together a bunch of people together out of stones and other material from the area. It is SO cool! Take a look. It's within easy walking distance of the central area.
