For night life, there appeared to be a resort party with free rum punch at each resort on alternate days of the week. Friday: Buddy's Dive Resort, and Monday night: Capt. Don's Habitat. Other resorts were nearly closed due to damage from hurricane in November. We visited the ones at Capt. Don's Habitat and to Buddy's

Karel's and City Cafe - Both on the waterfront in town.
There's not much in Bonaire for nightlife, these are two places that at least have something going on with live bands on the weekend.

OK- so I am biased because Cheri is my cousin. Still, Cheri's Cafe has been voted best bar in the Caribbean. A central gathering point next to the Casino Royale, Cheri's is the place to be on the Dutch side at night.
An extensive appetizer menu has all the favorites--popcorn shrimp, fried calamari, wings, mozzarella sticks. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, and is also a great spot for after-dinner drinks. Cheri's aims to please any meat lover with its 18-ounce steaks and 1/2-pound burgers. There's also a nice selection of fresh seafood and fish dishes. Pasta such as fettuccine alfredo and lasagna, chicken entrees, sandwiches, omelets, and salads round out the restaurant's offerings.
Closed Tuesday in the off-season. There is a live band nightly (Sweet Chocolat) from 7 to 12. The music is mellower during dinner and really heats up around 10 PM. They always seem to have the BEST entertainment.

My favourite nightlife activity was when a small group of people came to the lobby of Sheraton Curacao Resort and were playing music with a steeldrum! It was so 'Caribic'! Leave a Comment Theme: Live Music

There are many nightlife spots in the island.
Coco Club - Grand Case;
Havana Too - Marigot;
Baywatch - Maho.
Most casinos have restaurants and shows. Check the local paper for list of events.
Nightlife - dare to bare? Classy? You chose...

All around the islands there are many bars, small and large.
Just look around and you'll always find a bar that suits you.
Usually this does not matter. However some places we went to did check on this, but if they give you a hard time, just try and talk your way in. It usually works. If you take the tome to get to know the people who work where you stay, the natives, you may be lucky enough to be invited to on of their parties at a 'native' club.
Being able to share the flavor of these warm people and to see them in an environment where they are free to express themselves without the inabitions of the work place is aa treat.

St. Maarten has a nice nightlife you can enjoy. Ask the locals (the young hotel workers) for the best bars and clubs to hit. We had a tour book that listed places that closed down or burned down. The best resource is always the locals! Leave a Comment Theme: Other
