Got to love Ometepe and most of Nicaragua for the extreme lack of tourist traps. Come before the traps are developed. For that matter come before this country starts putting up condos, resorts and luxury hotels on every square inch of the beach line of Ometepe and the Pacific Coast.

Despite the awful boat trip we had getting to the island it is still worth the visit. The island is like nothing else I have seen before and is a great place to put you feet up and relax.
