With no streetlights, the streets are dark by 6p.m. while it's probably not wise to venture down roads by yourself after dark, the plazas of smaller town will fill up with local teens and kids hanging out. The lights from houses pour out onto the street and music from cars and homes drifts through the air, it's a very cool time. If you hear loud pounding dance music, try following it becasue it just might be a public dance, and those Nicaraguenses know how to move!
Live music and cheap drinks. A comfortable layout right next to the central park. You can hear the music from the park. Relaxed environment. Don't worry about clothes, but buy some drinks.
