The average wage for a waitress is a little over a dollar per hour so tips do matter.
Since a meal is often only 2.50 a tip does not break you and is appreciated.
The women generally have very good figures and often look 10 years younger than they really are. All that walking in the mountains and good food combine with pride in their appearance is the reason. Few smoke and fewer over-eat!
