Lourdes is the first place I had a meal in Boquete. Having flown in from Boca and then taken the bus from David to Boquete I was hungry.
The food was delicious and very low priced.
However i would recommend eating there around noon as that is when the selection is really at its best..
Favorite Dish: Ropa Vieja means old clothing in Spanish so one has to appreciate their sense of humour. It also means stir-fried of thin lean strips of beef usually served with stir-fried vegatables and sometimes served with a hot sauce.
Another dish in Panama city had a description as "levarse los muertos" which meant it was spicy enough to raise the dead.

Address: Right next to park when you get off the bus.
Cafe Bistro is right on the main throughfare of Boquete. The menu is a combination of American and Latin food that is really quite good and resonably priced. Their water is uv sterilized which means you can sure about the water. However Boquete water is from mountain springs so it is safe to drink from the tap. Instincts makes me careful as I ve learn that water in Canada is often unsafe drink. In my 3 months in Panama I never got a sick stomach from the water or the food.
