There are a couple of places to stay along the beach, some million dollar homes, and some smaller houses, but the Panamanians typically only visit the beach on the weekend, so you have the beach practicly to yourself if you visit during the week.
There are a couple restaurants on the beach, so you can get snacks and drinks, too. And you can walk up and down the mostly white (and some black) sand for miles.
