There are nice trails behind the Casa de Campo.
You can go out alone but it is nice to have a guide.
The inn has some birding guides that will be available.
Some speak english better than others.

Take the tours offered at the Casa de Campo by bilingual birding guides.
You will see many beautiful birds.
The nests in the picture are those of the Chestnut-headed Oropendola.
We had arranged for a birding tour on our second morning there. Archie met us out in front at 7am. We had only walked down the road a short way when I spotted something that looked like a large brown ball, up in the tree. It was a three-toed sloth. I had never seen a sloth in the wild so I chose to stay there most of the morning to watch it. It really didn't do much since it moved very slow.
