The fisherman's paradise is the site of a few mansions, a small neighborhood with the likes of Christian Dior, europeans, americans and local rich merchants. Rent a golf cart and enjoy the impressive architecture and lucky spots with amazing views.

Contadora's reefs boast a nice array of stony corals, and in that regard the reefs most closely resemble the related corals of distant South Pacific islands. The diversity is less, likely due to the effects of the cooler currents mid-winter, but the fish are prolific compared to similar sized reefs in the Caribbean.
The main boat or scuba tours are sold at a shop right beside the airport.

The supposed restaurants at Contadora Island with my comments:
Sagitario, downtown, opposite the hospital. I never saw it.
Multi Comidas, downtown, opposite from Aeroperlas Office. Local typical food for locals. Quite nice and cheap.
Duty Free/Mi Kiosk, downtown, at the corner. I never saw it.
Super Blandy, downtown, behind the Air Panama Office. I never saw it.
El Suizo, located at the Villa's. See my other tip for a picture.
Restaurant/Hotel Romantica, at Playa Cacique. Never saw it.
Restaurant/Hotel Contadora Beach, at Playa Larga. Hotel restaurant.
Restaurant/Hotel Punta Galéon and Restaurant Pelicano, at Playa Galéon. Hotel restaurant, I ate there 3 times and never had what they announced on the menu. Ended up having a burger.
Favorite Dish: Not many options to have a nice meal.

There are not many options here at the Island but there are lots of brochures about this place... not that good but if you want to eat out of your hotel, then just try it.
Favorite Dish: Nothing really amazing, average food.

Easily get there by plan departing from Panama City's internal airport and get there in 45 minutes. It is a very small airplane, so be warned!

ASk for them right outside the airport at the small shops. They are about USD$45 per day but you can bargain up to USD$35. It takes you about 45 minutes to get around the island with the cart but if you're a walker it may prove somewhat difficult because of the ups and downs...

While traveling to Contadora Island, spot all the beautiful islands on the way... prepare yourself as you'll even see drug dealing planes preparing for a new flight in small islands, just look for small landing lanes carved on the floor.
The shown island is where Survivor was recorded.
