Natives in Traditional Un-dress at the market

by plannersis

Just so you know before you go, if your cruise ship docks at Cristobal Pier, you can get off and explore the shops, but there is nothing else at the location - you can not go into town or walk out of the area. The shops are simply tourist-focused and there is an area for local artisans to sell handiwork, including native Panamanians who wear only loincloths and body paint. Families with children may want to decide whether to puruse this area, as it is like walking into another country and many Americans aren't prepared.
