Unlike Costa Rica, Panama is still virgin and you can catch most of the best surf spots by yourself. Few people know about Panama's surfing potential, which is a big plus for surfers who visit! However, you better go soon because Panama is becoming more and more popular for surfers from around the globe.

Rafting the Chiriqui Viejo takes you into Costa Rica and back down into Panama. A good start from Boquette a beautiful coffee town where it can reach 33 degees with a constant mist falling throughout the day. About 100 USD for the day. There are a few falls (one pictured here) you'll have the pleasure of experiencing.
The jungle above house many a monkey that may decide they don't like you and may choose to throw coconuts at you from atop of the massive rock faces on each side of select gourges. Don't take offence, you're the intruder :-)

This activity can be done in El Valle, it consists on going from tree to tree and plataform to plataform using pulleys on horizontal traverse cables, over the tree tops and the trails far below, and around the spectacular waterfall "Chorro Macho."
It is not that extreme (so don't be afraid), and it is better to enjoy it from the beginning, because it is short.
