Anywhere there foliage at nigh, specially after a rainy day. This is something you would do outside of San Juan or the major metro areas. The purpose? Listen to the Coqui. It's native to Puerto Rico only and can't live elswhere. It's not a frog. It sings at night, specially after a rain. When I call home at night or they call me and leave a message, i can hear the musical 'coqui, coqui.' That's why they are called coqui, because that is what they sing. See the little fella in the picture.Only in Puerto Rico.

Obviosly the main target in Puerto Rico is the Salsa. You can find the best disco in Old San Juan: actually the RUMBA! (787)725-4407 Musica en vivo quasi todos lo dias y domingo mucha Bomba. Free entry. This small disco and the HAVANA in Santurce are among the few classic places for Salsa. I was surprised that in Puerto Rico there are not so many discos for Salsa and so a few girls are good dancers.

Old San Juan has plenty of action on a weekend night. The streets are blocked off to vehicles, so plan to walk a little. No jeans or sneakers.
