Spanish is widely spoken. Most people know some basic english. If spanish is not your strong suit it would be best to have a person fluent in spanish. Resort & other vacation places have english speaking people available.

At night I wore denim jeans and a jersey top and felt a bit under dressed. Puerto Rican women tend to 'do it up' at night and look very nice. If you want to blend in, wear a casual dress or nice slacks and do your hair.

People from Ponce are called 'Poncenos'. Patron Saint - Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, Patron Saint festivel held for one week in December.
