The Parrot Club it's the best place you can find in Old San Juan with latin creative food, it's local food but with a special touch and look, they make it really pretty and everything tastes great. And they have live music almost every night!

Favorite Dish: MR Tuna with a dark rum sauce and mashed potatoes made with sweet pot and and a mango chutney, also their ceasar salad it's awesome the croutons are made with local plantains and for appetizers they have different types of ceviches and mini bacalaitos with a horseradish and crab sauce!! and it's just the best!!

Ajili mojili: Taste the "real" Puerto Rico

by Radiomom Updated Apr 4, 2011

Ajili-Mojili -- this place is also popular with locals and tourists. Dress is resort casual, but no shorts or t-shirts. It has a lovely dining room, and great service. They serve true Puerto Rican cuisine in an atmosphere of "Tropical Elegance." the chefs use plenty of seasonings like garlic, cilantro, tamarindo, rum, wine....mmmmmm!

    Favorite Dish: Pumpkin Fritters (appetizer)
The pumpkin soup is also wonderful.
Entree: Beef braised in Barrilito Rum or
little cornish hens with guava sauce.

Ajili Mojili: The real deal in Condado: Ajili Mojili

by jglsongs Written Mar 12, 2004

The place is well known and can get very crowded, but it's big enough to accommodate a lot of people.

Favorite Dish: Contrary to popular belief, not all Puerto Rican food is heavy. Pasteles, rice and beans, platanos and yucca are - but there's also great fish dishes and vegetable concoctions.

The food is typical, the atmosphere as well and it is the favorite restaurant of the San Juan inhabitants which I think tells you a lot!

Favorite Dish: the tostones and the mofongos con camarones
