Ajili mojili: Taste the "real" Puerto Rico
Ajili-Mojili -- this place is also popular with locals and tourists. Dress is resort casual, but no shorts or t-shirts. It has a lovely dining room, and great service. They serve true Puerto Rican cuisine in an atmosphere of "Tropical Elegance." the chefs use plenty of seasonings like garlic, cilantro, tamarindo, rum, wine....mmmmmm!
Favorite Dish: Pumpkin Fritters (appetizer)
The pumpkin soup is also wonderful.
Entree: Beef braised in Barrilito Rum or
little cornish hens with guava sauce.
Ajili Mojili: The real deal in Condado: Ajili Mojili
The place is well known and can get very crowded, but it's big enough to accommodate a lot of people.
Favorite Dish: Contrary to popular belief, not all Puerto Rican food is heavy. Pasteles, rice and beans, platanos and yucca are - but there's also great fish dishes and vegetable concoctions.
