Ages 2-5 Art & Music Classes with Mama Mel - Love!

My daughter loved these classes while we were there. Mel is fantastic and fun. Her classes are wonderful... my husband had fun too. There is a great bookstore in the Cultural Center and you can learn about Rincon and PR before and after class.You should certainly take your child while on vacation or even if you live here. Here is the information:Tuesdays and Thurs at 10:00 am Start Date Jan 29, 2013Music Class (Tues) and Art Class (Thurs)Designed for ages 2 to 5Only $10 per class / $40 for 5 classes / $80 for 10 classesAdditional siblings $5Class limit is 10 children so arrive early.There is a coffee machine and waiting area if you arrive early. This is NOT a drop off class. Guardian must attend class and supervise child. Classes are held in English but all languages do well here.

Beach Horseback Ride & Great Pony Rides

Don't miss this when you're in Rincon. Julie is very friendly and knowledgeable and cares for her horses a great deal. She will match you to the perfect horse. They are friendly horses and will follow along with her in the lead, but they are responsive if you are seasoned and want to trot a bit or go even go a little faster. There is a weight limit now of 230lbs or so, but they are training some more horses for 275 weight limit. Be honest and tell her your weight as you don't want to overtax any of these wonderful horses. Call and make an appointment --- rides are at 9am and 4pm, in winter and only 9am in summer. I took the 4pm ride, and the sun was starting to set as we headed back. Gorgeous.The ride through the roads is great to look at houses and other horses and cows, but the beach and cliffs are amazing! Visit the lighthouse & check out the beach!

This lighthouse at Play Rincon is mainly a tourist spot to visit. It is a historical spot, but I couldn't tell you the significance of it, other than what all lighthouses are for - to provide a guiding beacon at sea during the night! Apparently, it is no longer in use, but is still great to look at and admire, yes?!
