Paul (Guantanamera) sent me here, and I'm ever thankful. Come to this small dance club in Old San Juan, and plan to stay and dance til 5am on weekends!

There are bars/pubs etc that are fun for those with their liver on their mind.. quite often though you find that the popular hotels ie Mariott (I think if my memory serves me correct) offers a lot of entertainment and contains a casino in it...

BUT

For those like me, if you just walk around you can find bars etc. I am pretty bad, I cant remember what the decent ones are called...I shall look back in my journal when I have time and check!! Drinks are reasonably priced as well! It's more the pub scene.

Well look at what Diana (my fellow companion) and Willie (local we met) are wearing :)

Barhopping in San Sebastian street in Old San Juan is a nice place to go meet locals. They have lots of places with pool tables there and on certain nights this narrow street gets inundated with the teenage and young adult crowd hoping to meet old friends. Nuyorican cafe is also good, it not on San Sebastian Street though...
It's a good place to get to see those old friends one hasn't seen in a while, and if youre a young tourist, a good place to hang out with the local crowd.

Not formal, some people go with t-shirts but obviously almost no one will wear shorts.

I enjoy cocktails at the Downstairs Bar
The Downstairs is a friendly laid-back place, with a regular clientele of locals and snowbirds (mostly men). It's a good way to meet Puerto Ricans on the hoof, so to speak.

Crash (changes names every year though)
A mixed club, with great music and a fantasic stand-up comedian in drag.

Dress casual.

The Wyndham Hotel Casino. Need I say more?

Did not appear to be a dress code enforced, however, common sense would dictate at least nothing less than casual resort wear. No bathing suits.

Very trendy club located in the Wyndam El San Juan. The name might have changed from the last time I was there but the location has not. There is usually a decent line after 11 PM on the weekends, and the cover for non-residents of the hotel is $10. The music is good, there is plenty of space, tables, and a dance floor. It's a little bit superficial but worth the trouble.

Standard club dress code. Look presentable, no flip flops, shorts etc. Jeans are OK.

You want to meet some locals, then this is the definite place for you. Beautiful people and random Salsa dancing all around. Met some nice people there that I will never forget. The Mojito at this place are second to none.

	Dancing: Gay disco

There is a wonderful gay disco in San Juan. t is located in the new part of the city. We had a fun time there because there was a bubblebath party. The guys are friendly and cute!

Try to avoid regular clothes, I mean jeans and T-shirts, just wear flip-flops and shorts. No shirt required!!!
