Stone Crab Alley and The Hurricane Room is located in a historic landmark built on Avenida Las Nereidas (Now Ashford Avenue) in 1902 as a family home for a German Shipping Mogul named Raufchemplat. It has been the home of many businesses in its near-century of existence as a result of its premier location in Condado, PR. It’s most significantly known and longest-staying commercial resident was the American restaurant franchise, The Chart House, who occupied the space from 1981 to 2000. After just under 19 years of business, the Chart House closed operations and the building lay dormant for over a year.

On June 1, 2001, after some serious renovations and improvements, Stone Crab Alley and The Hurricane Room opened to instant success on the second floor of this historic building. Come in and see the restaurant’s centerpiece, a 100 year old mahogany bar constructed in England and shipped to this location. With outdoor seating for over 80 people, an air conditioned indoor non-smoking section for 50, and an air conditioned indoor smoking section for over 50, Stone Crab Alley and The Hurricane Room is a fantastically relaxed and comfortable dining atmosphere fit to accommodate all.
