Puerto Ferro Lighthouse:
Built by the Spanish in 1894 the Puerto Ferro Lighthouse is located near Camp Garcia the USMC Base on the west side of the island.
Puerto Mulas Lighthouse:
Built in 1893 by the Spanish, Puerto Mulas Lighthouse is located near the Isabel Segunda harbor on the islands north central side. It is now a marine museum.
Tomb of Teophile J.J. Maria Le Guillou:
Known as the founder of Vieques Teophile J.J. Maria Le Guillou, a Frenchman & the islands first Political & Military Governor of the Spanish Colony of Vieques from 1832-43.

The west side of the island is now open to the general public. This area of the island used to belong to to the navy. Be sure to visit the Kianni Lagoon, Green Beach, the Navy Pier (bring a fishing pole) and visit the old Ceiba Tree which is only some 400 years old!!!! :)Also feel free to check out the
dogs and cats available for adoption at the Vieques Humane Society. And at last but not least if you are an internet addict and you need to check your emails daily, you can rent a computer at the Vieques Historical and Conservational Trust and problem solved !!
Renting a four wheel drive vehicle will enhance your view of Vieques. There are many dirt roads to wander and explore both in the hills and on the coast. You won't be able to experience these parts without a Jeep.
