At Chez Shack you will enjoy an exquisite meal in an open air restaurant in the midst of the Vieques' jungle with all the sights and sounds of the island included. Definitely a good bet for a pleasant dinner. Reservations(for your benefit as well) are a must as only ~12 meals can be prepared an hour (so I am told) and parking is practically non-existent!
Favorite Dish: The Rare Tuna (if available) served with local vegetables is delicious and the Pork Loin with pasta, pickled tomatoes and roasted onions was also very nice. Short but adequate wine list......appetizer and dessert specials each day.

Make a reservation in advance. This place is very popular and there are not many places to eat on Vieques. Our server Sarah was very nice and helpful.
Favorite Dish: My husband and I split a portion of conch fritters. If I knew how good they were I would have nade him order his own! We both had very good Caesar Salads. My husband had a very good Rib Eye steak and I had Filet and Lobster Tail. Both very good. It is open air dining. We would definately go back!

Tradewinds, go for the lobster night on fridays and prepared to have a feast. However eating in vieques can be very expensive, so during daytime we went to Shaunnas restaurant, Richards cafe, Williams pizza, and Panaderia Viequense (bakery). Bananas was very overpriced for daytime eating... I was very upset about it..
Bananas general atmosphere is nice.
Trade winds is pretty cool.
cafe media Luna, la campesina, Chez Shack seems always cosed...
Favorite Dish: Caribbean Lobster at Trade winds
Arepas and tostones de Pana at Shaunnas.
Grilled pork Chops at Richards Cafe.
Tortilla EspaƱola at panaderia Viequense.
Best Breakfast at El Patio and Panaderia Viequense.
