Among the groves of coconut palms and banana trees, you will find beautiful tropical flowers in the gardens. There are also flowering poinciana, mimosa, and passionfruit vines. Fruit trees laden with breadfruit, soursop, mango, guava, and papaya.
Have a look around the grounds of the Nisbet Plantation.
The Nisbet Plantation was built on the site of an eighteenth-century sugar plantation.
Some of the historic ruins of the former plantation are still present. You will find them near the front circular driveway.
The beach is also a good place to look for birds. You will find many Brown Pelicans which is the official bird of Nevis. There are plenty of other seabirds here also. You might even spot a hummingbird flitting among the tropical foliage.
Relax on the beach at the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club. They have hammocks hung for your enjoyment. They also have little gazebos dotted around for card games, board games, or whatever.
