Vigie Light built in 1914 by Chance Brothers. The station was established in1883. It is an active lighthouse; the light is 320 ft high and has two white flashes every 10 seconds. The tower is 36 feet tall - a cylindrical tower with lantern and gallery, painted white with red trim; lantern painted red. In October, the lighthouse was in poor condition, with no glass in the lantern but by February the tower had been repainted. The adjoining keeper's house was in use as office space for the Air and Sea Ports Authority. The lighthouse is located on the Vigie peninsula, the north side of the harbor of Castries, near the airport. The site and tower are open daily.
