It seems to me that there are a lot of interesting things to take photos of in the area of the port - not even counting the cruise ships. We saw a man with a large constrictor snake around his shoulders. He ambled up to the bus loads of tourists with this huge snake around his neck. Apparently he hoped to get tips - whether someone would have their photo taken with his snake or what the deal was I do not know. This is an awesome experience, in the middle of the island is a banana plantation that takes you on a guided tour by quad bike. For the first timer and for the not so strong this may cause some problems, my travel companion was not able to control the bike up and downthe extremely steep slopes, so much so that despite havign said that it was one...more
If you still havent had enough of the sun and the beach, check in early and go to the beach for a banana daquiri the beach is five minutes drive away from the airport. Its rather surreal to arrive back and walk onto the plane not having hung around the rather deserted and empty airport. There is nothing to do there.more
The rain forest tours are outstanding. For about 3 hours, we were guided through the rain forest by a very knowlegeable guide to a waterfall where we were able to cool off for a little while.If your lucky, you will catch a glimpse of the very rare St. Lucia Parriot.more
