collective taxi or a policeman's private car?...
Fondest memory: due to a mistake to take the right bus to Fort Charlotte, I had what I remember like a nice adventure and what my mom would call irresponsability but I have been said I trust people too much ;-)... anyway this time it worked wonderfully: I had got in the wrong bus to the Fort and when I realized it, they made me get out without charging me anything... at this point a friendly local asked me were I wanted to go and added he had already noticed me this morning while I was going up to the Botanic Gardens. Then he brought me to the right bus stop and here some children felt like chatting and began to greet, ask questions and looking for the bus for me but this line has not so frequent runs so when someone the kids knew stopped by with his car, they spoke to him and invitated me to accept his lift adding he was a policeman. The man showed me his police card and brought me to the crossing of the road which goes up to the fort... now was a tip expected or I would have bribed a policeman?... so I asked if I could offer him a beer but his reply was a polite no and a good bye...
Fondest memory: Carlos is a St. Vincentian I'm really proud to have known: he is from Cumberland, in the Parish of St. Patrick, but has to do with Kingstown because after I camped in his bay, he came to the capital when I had to go back to it to catch my flight and say good bye to the island, he introduced to me Mami and found a place for my lugguage the 2nd time I needed one, by his friends of the fish market... and he showed me some parts of the island I wouldn't have noticed by myself...
