    Great Isaac Light

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

You can charter a boat from Sea Crest which will take you 45 minutes north to Great Isaac which is a 19th century English lighthouse, which is about 20 miles north of Bimini. It was built in 1856. The shoreline provides good snorkeling, and you need moderate agility to get ashore to explore the lighthouse and ruins of the old lighthouse keeper's residence.

Note: This is information from the internet which says that the lighthouse has red and white horizontal stripes. I did not see any stripes and I do not see any on the picture at the website below.

Also known as: Great Isaac Cay Lighthouse

    Managing Organization:
    Port Department, Ministry of Transport.

    Height of Focal Plane: 152

    This light is operational

    Date Present Tower Built: 1859

I did not take a photo of this lighthouse, but I understand there is one at: Great Isaac Light
