One of the nicer establishments in Fresh Creek on Andros Island. This is a Hotel, Yacht Club, Bar and Restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I went for breakfast and had an awesome meal of eggs, grits, spicy corned beef hash and tea.
Service was interesting. You see Andros Island is pretty slow, quiet, and with little people to serve. Many stores will close at random times because there is no one around to be open for or they are open and the neighborhood folks are hanging out. It is odd when someone see's a customer here.
At 1045 my friend and I were starving and no place was open but the lighthouse and the cooks were gone so the hostess cooked only what she knew how to cook for us. She was sweet and I did not care a bit, I admire that kind of thing. It might upset other travellers though not me, the meal was great and I had nothing to do but relax.
There is a great view of the docks and the place is nice and comfortable. Breakfast was around $25 for 2 folks including juice and coffee.
Favorite Dish: The spicy corned beef hash made with some stewed tomatoes was the best.

Andros Island - No tourists, just sand and water

I flew to Andros Island in a US Navy cargo plane - something like a C-3, but I can't recall what it actually was. From Jacksonville, it was a pretty long flight, especially since I had to be strapped...
