Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Unless you come from a simila climate, you will need to bring and wear sunscreen. Remember you need to reapply it every four hours or so. To the same end you will want to wear sunglasses and a hat with a brim.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: We brought and used a little aloe vera burn relief gel.
Miscellaneous: Water is expensive on town. If you find a place to buy bottled water cheap, you should, then bring as much with you as possible every time you go out.
Very Important Section
Luggage and bags: I always use a squashy duffle with wheels. They are easy to manouvre and are like a tardis inside. I also take a ruck sac as hand carry which can double as an excursion bag when you reach your destination.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: When it's time to pack for your resort-based vacation, you'll want to bring comfortable, casual clothing for the breakfast/lunch dining rooms, daytime activities or sightseeing, and swimsuits and workout clothes for pools, Jacuzzis, saunas and health clubs.
Many restaurants in resorts have dress codes that require dresses or pantsuits for women and slacks and a jacket (with or without tie) for men. Dress codes may be noted on the individual resort page, either in the dining section or under dress code.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Pack all of your medications, prescription or otherwise, in a bag you can carry on your flights. Obtain extra prescriptions from your physician for any medications you are currently taking and carry them with you. Dont forget your contact lenses if you wear them!
Photo Equipment: Bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses for bright, sunny days. You'll naturally want to bring your camera or video camera as well.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Think about the kind of excursions you may take and pack accessories, where appropriate, such as hiking boots, ponchos or rain gear and snorkel gear.
Miscellaneous: Those of you who are familiar with my pages know that I always strongly advise the use of 3 in 1 wipes.
Ahh the joys of packing
Luggage and bags: Listen, if you only reason to go to Nassau, Bahamas is only rest and relaxation, then pack light. Some shorts, tees and bathing suits. Enough said!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Light clothing, comfy shoes (sandals for the beach or if you are going to venture towards the town, then some sneakers)
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring your own toilteries if you do not care for the hotels products (but if you forget something prepare to pay because it is quite expensive in the Bahamas).
Photo Equipment: Bring on the Digital Camera. You can see the beauty of the ocean sky from your beautiful digital pictures.
Packing for Island Fun
Luggage and bags: Just a carryon is good.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Flip flops, sandals, water shoes are good for the feet. Pack a bathingsuit if you plan on hanging at the beach or pools. Light, cool clothing is best to deal with the heat. It does rain here on occasion so it would be good to pack a small travel umbrella.
For evening pack a suit, a nice formal dress and get ready for a nice night of good food, coctails and nightlife.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreenis a must; the sun is very strong in the Bahamas.
Photo Equipment: My digital camera and video camera
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bathing suit, water shoes, towels
What not to pack
Luggage and bags: Keep it light...
Forget the dress clothes unless you are here for a job interview.
Normal is shorts, polo shirts and any special items you need to suit your needs
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: wear good walking shoes
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: they can be purchased here
Photo Equipment: they an be purchased here
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Buy them here and add to your collection

- Business Travel
Luggage and bags: Make sure you bring a lock for your luggage, even though the airlines won't let you use them for the flight. We kept our belongings locked up every day in our suitcases since our hotel didn't have a working safe in the room.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Be sure to bring a sweater if you are traveling during the winter months. Nights can be quite cool, in the 60's. A storm blew in the last day we were there and it was 31mph winds steady, with occasional rain, in the low 60's all day.
Photo Equipment: I'd recommend one of those 35mm waterproof cameras for taking pictures while in the ocean. It was a great addition to the photos from our digital camera.
Luggage and bags: When going to Nassau you should pack some food in your suitcase. It will save alot of $$. Me and my sister went last January and didnt listen to the reviews and spent a lot more money on food then we expected. So definately pack food.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take plenty of shorts and don't forget the swim suit.
Photo Equipment: Take extra film - so you can capture the moments.
Miscellaneous: This is a photo of my daughter Jen (with the long hair) an Elvis look-alike and Jen (a friend my daughter made while on board).
Luggage and bags: Don't ever overpack. i am one of the worst offenders of this and at times I have paid dearly for it. Pack only what you intend to carry.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Tennis shoes, one pair of dress shoes, swimming trunks, shorts, t-shirts, one or two nice shirts and some nice pants-For ladies only you know what you really need-:)
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Lots of Sunscreen and Suntan lotion. Also Sunburn creme and medication. Chapstick for windburn.
Photo Equipment: Take a throw away camera, If you lose it you'll only lose some memories, not an expensive 500$ camera.
Miscellaneous: Bring a good attitude, enough cash and have fun
Luggage and bags: Carry- on will work well for a one week casual stay
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take less than you think - We did no clubbing or 'night spots' so business casual was as formal as we needed. Spent most of the time in shorts and a t-shirt.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sun Screen!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen. The sun is very hot, especially if you are not use to it. It would also be a good idea to have something to cover up with - when you have had too much sun.
Photo Equipment: Always make sure you have your camera, film and other supplies with you. You may never be back here again, and you always want to be able to remember what you saw by taking pictures.
