We ate at Cafe Johnny Canoe's every day we were there, sometimes for both lunch and dinner. The food is good, but mostly the prices are quite reasonable compared to other restaurants and you get to sample local cuisine. This cafe is located at the Nassau Beach Hotel. Very festive! They have live music on weekends (dinner) and on Friday at 8:00 is the Junkanoo parade, which you don't want to miss! They dress in native costumes and make a ton of noise, and dance through the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: We didn't have anything bad here. Be sure to try the conch fritters, very tasty! I also had pineapple soda, which was yummy! Steer clear of the margaritas unless you like strong drinks.

From my point of view the best choice is „Cafe Johnny Canoe“ next to Nassau Beach Hotel, Cable Beach. But I recommend it for Fridays only because than you can listen to the wellknown Junkanoo music as well. Have fun.

Cafe Johnny Canoe is located next to the Nassau Beach Hotel in Cable Beach west of downtown Nassau and is one of only a few restaurants outside of the hotels in this area. They serve excellent breakfasts and lunch/dinner menu's which lean towards the American market such as burgers, steaks, chicken, sandwiches, fish, and local dishes such as lobster and conch. This became a regular stop for me as I stayed at the Nassau Beach Hotel.

Eating at Johnny Canoe was a disappointment. I came all the way from Moscow and very excited to eat their food. The music was very load and you could hear the nasty chef talking and making jokes. This is a joke of a restaurant and the food was very bad, I guess they need to find a better chef. I am very disappointed at this place. This Restaurant should not be including in (the best restaurants in Nassau). Disastrous and way to spensive,they will never make it as A BAHAMIAN-AMERICAN RESTAURANT... MUST BE THE JOKE OF THE DAY.
