Cafe Matisse, Nassau

The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great! The back patio is quite romantic. Also works foro a group. One of the few restaurants I feel like I got my money's worth.

Favorite Dish: The bresaola appetizer
Buffalo Steak

This restaurant is in downtown Nassau. It has been around for quite awhile and is very popular with tourists and locals. There is a wonderful feeling of being in a little old house. You can dine inside where all the pictures and prints are of course by Matisse. They have a lovely couryard full of tropical plants with little fairy lights all around, where you can also eat or in the gazebo. There is also a large porch running across the back of the restaurant on the second floor that is available for dining as well. Cafe Matisse is open for lunch and dinner, but make sure you make reservations as it is extremely busy.

Favorite Dish: I have eaten here on numerous occasions and any of the dishes are good. They serve a really tasty chicken dish, but the steak or seafood is also good. They also have homemade pizza and terrific desserts.

Excellent French restaurant with charming old wooden structures and garden terrace. The place to take clients for lunch in Nassau.

All the walls are decorated with copies of Matisse paintings and drawings, hence the name.

Favorite Dish: Try the Hogfish. You won't find this fish on a lot of menus!

Dine on home-made pasta, seafood, filet mignon, real Italian pizza and delicious desserts, amid Matisse prints and impressions, in an elegant, historic house built in the 1800s. A charming courtyard is perfect for outdoor dining.

Proper dress required for dinner.
