A good selection of slots, card games, craps, roulette, and a new sports book. The tables do get full by midnight, and I believe they actually close down around 3-4am, as do the bars and clubs in the resort. Drinks are complimentary as long as you are actively gambling, just like in US casinos.
Gambling in The Bahamas is big-time. Places like Crystal Palace on Paradise Island have almost a thousand slot machines and a dizzying number of blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, stud poker, and big six tables. At the huge Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island, more than 30,000 sq.ft., over 800 slots pay out about $35,000 an hour. And win or lose, the show in its new million-dollar showroom is always good. You can play the slot machines 24 hrs a day for less than a dollar but you won't find any locals here since gambling is illegal for residents of the Bahamas. This casino offers all the casino action of Las Vegas in the warmth, charm and beauty of The Bahamas.
When in the bahamas be sure to partake in the numerous water sports and activities-at the atlantis' beautiful man-made beach you can kayak, scuba-dive and learn to scuba-dive, snorkel etc. At the beach, diving, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet-skiing, parasailing and banana boating are a must! Also be sure to find a ferry to take you to one of their infamous beautiful pink beaches!
You must go to Paradise Island. Atlantis Hotel is a big attraction itself. You can have a tour, go to the cassino - win or loose some money, and they have the world's largest marine habitat. It's somewhere over eight million gallons of salt water - creation of the sunken city streets of mythical Atlantis, a replica of an archeological excavation site and sharks, barracuda, large grouper and much more.
The stores, the decoration, the cassino... you have to see. Even though shopping at Atlantis Hotel is very expensive, you don't pay a penny to look around, take pics. You must go!
Visit the Atlantis Hotel. It has a great indoor shopping corridor, beautiful fountains and outside in the seaside garden and an aquarium with big fishes.
The swimming pool at the Cove is wonderful. They have poolside gambling, lunch and drinks can be brought to your chair and you can rent cabanas for the day.
Explore the lobbies and more......it just keeps going and going....bars, restaurants, gift shops, casinos, so on and so forth.
Here we took a royal break for another game of backgammon.
I think these guys are prehistoric enough that they were probably around when (the original) Atlantis was being built.
The waterslides are realy fun and snorkeling was fun too, but there was not a lot of fish swimming around.
If you want to see some amazing yachts, check out the marina at Atlantis. It can accomodate boats up to 220 ft. long, and all guests of the marina get all services of the hotel.
