Don't miss the Bahama Boom. It wasn't good until after midnight, but this is one spot you don't want to miss. It is right near the port and has the greatest music and atmosphere.
Large shark mouth upstairs is worth a look. Music is very fresh.

A fun place to go to gamble, get an after-dinner drink, or just people watch. The casino is actually very nice (compared to others I've been in) and the Atlanis complex exudes an almost Vegas atmosphere.

New Year is Bahamian Mardi Gras and there are parades and music that start about 5:00 AM New Years Day. We partied until Midnight and then got some sleep so we could be at the parade site by 06:00 AM. There was almost no place left to watch from! It was packed and the parade was wonderful.
Jokers Wild Comedy Club was established in 1989 and over the years has entertained over a half million visitors with great comedy entertainment at a reasonable price.
Admission is $15.00 per person, with no reservations (open seating), and a capacity of 150 people. The doors open at 9:00 PM and the shows start at 9:30 PM. For special events, which are held 4-6 times a year, prices and show times are subject to change.
I had a great time with my American compadres in the Breezes bar and club. But to really get an idea of what the Bahamian nightlife is like ask a local to take you to one of their clubs. You will definately need a couple of drinks before venturing onto that dance floor!

What I most enjoy in Bahamas is the happiness that people treat you with, in this place. They don´t have much material things, but they know how to smile ALL day...and they really DANCE!!
That´s what I most enjoy being there...the way they dance, the way they have fun!
I met GREAT people...I had such a good time that I´ll never forget all those days on a cruise.
In Freeport, just go to the center of the marketplace and there is music every night along with performers. The show only lasts until about 11p but there are some other clubs around that stay open later if you want more to do.
There is a little outside bar in the marketplace; called the Pub at Port Lucaya. They have the best strawberry margaritas and the bartenders are just great.
