Nassau, The Bahamas
I stayed at the Atlantis and besides the lame night clubs that they have for kids. There wasn't much night life in the resort, Most people just hit the Casion's once it gets dark.
Also getting into downtown become an issue as there are no ferry boats into town. You need to get a cab, where fares are negotiable based on how you look /dressed.
Whts worse is that almost everyhting is closed once the cruise ships depart. I went into two and did not find anyhting to eat.... the streets look deserted and scary. As a tourist you look like a running target. I finally walked quickly to Senior frogs and had dinner.
Dress Code: They will take you money as long as you have shirt/shoes.
I did see some people over dressedin tucks and playing the slot machines.. Maybe they got ripped off at one of the high prices restaurents and now loosing theit shirt in the Casino
While the Atlantis nightclub dragon and the casino are great nightspots, it's really only inhabited by tourists. If you want to mingle with natives go over the bridge and head over to the zoo (about a 25 min drive) or the waterloo (about a 10 min drive) where you'll find simple but spacious accomadations with an outdoor pool and grill where you can buy burgers and snacks when you get hungry toward the end of the night. And of course great reggae music!
Dress Code: shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, anything goes!
Don't miss the Bahama Boom. It wasn't good until after midnight, but this is one spot you don't want to miss. It is right near the port and has the greatest music and atmosphere.
Large shark mouth upstairs is worth a look. Music is very fresh.
Dress Code: casual

My favorite night spot in Nassau was the casino at the Crystal Palace Marriott on Cable Beach. There is alot of fun to be had here! Need I say more???
If you enjoy dancing, you can take a taxi to the Paradise Palace Hotel for a nice upper class social club.
