The beach at Maracas Bay is a lovely spot to swim in and enjoy the cool blue waters of the sea. The bay area is worth visiting for it's scenic beauty.

Address: Maracas Bay area.
The most popular beach among Trinidadians. In the October/November time you cannot see many tourists or locals overthere, altough it is one of the most attractive beaches in Trinidad.
The place looks like the resort was built 50 years ago and never renovated. You can enjoy big waves of Atlantic Ocean and feel comfortable under morvelous coconut trees.

Richard's Shark and Bake is a lovely place in front of the Maracas beach where you can taste some of the best shark and bake. A bit expensive but well worth it!!!

Yummy bake and shark with plenty of fresh salad and pinapple. Don't forget to try coconut chutney and hot pepper sauce. Ask if they have kucheela to make a perfect snack.

Small road side stalls at most places on the way to the beach as well as near the beach area.
What to buy: Most of these stalls and traveling salesmen sell trinkets, jewelry, local handicrafts, etc. at pretty high prices so be sure to bargain before you buy anything out here.
