The San Fernando Hill Natural Landmark (SFHNL) is the geographic center of San Fernando's communities. Being as such, it gives a great panoramic view of the residential areas, PetroTrin refinery to the immediate north, Port of Spain and the mountains to the far north, the Paria Gulf to the west, Princes Town to the east, etc.
Entrance is free, but the gates are only open between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
Occasionally it is closed to private parties since there is a nice pavilion on the top which hosts receptions, weddings, etc.
The road will get you 90% of the way up, to a parking area which has several picnic areas and scenic views. From there you can hike 5~10 minutes up a steep dirt road to the absolute top.

Address: San Fernando
This is the dominant feature of San Fernando and a popular recreation area for locals. It is basically a limestone outcrop and it is possible to go all the way to the top. Up until 1980, it was in danger of being removed entirely due to heavy quarrying, but it is now protected and enjoys an iconic status in the area.
From the top of San Fernando Hill, it is possible to see the coastline of Venezuela on a clear day.
