Scuba Diving

by KristinLambert

I took my certification classes in Tobago. Although the water isn't as clear as some places such as Grand Cayman, there is an abundance of wildlife to see. Since there are not a lot of tourists, the reefs are not over run with divers and dive boats. The quality of the dive shops though left a little to be desired. I suggest using a dive operator from a hotel. I was happy with Undersea Tobago at the Coco Reef Hotel.

kitesurfing, windsurfing

by rootie

Pigeon Point has nice spots to kitesurf and windsurf. World of Water Sports rents windsurfing gear at about $250.TT for an hour. Ask for Jim. I don't think kites and boards are currently available for rental. The downsides to Pigeon Point are the entrance fee to get in -- I think it was $3 per person --, and the launch site has lots little pointy rocks. Make sure to bring booties!!!I also heard about the Hilton as a great spot for people to kitesurf. On some days when there aren't many kitesurfers in Pigeon Point, they might likely be in the Hilton. The downside is that windsurfers have to bring their own gear.

Snorkeling

by Blondiina

Snorkeling in Englishman's Bay is fantastic. Go in from right hand side of the beach. There's lot of fish and coral as well. We saw a really huge angel fish here, a moray eel plus lots more.
