This small shopping center offers a wealth of little shops that cater to the souvenir shopper. There is Dive Provo on one corner of the center and they offer a full selection of dive related items and supplies. There is Caicos Adventures that sell sdive gear as well as a large variety of souvenirs. The best deals that we found for polo shirts was at Big Mamas and at a reasonable price. If it's T-Shirts your after, travel down the street (east) to the cigar & jewerly store that also offers the largest selection of T-Shirts around. They will even reduce the price more, depending on how much you are spending. I usually pick up some Cuban cigars while I'm there and they will also bargain with you there too. A great place to shop! Souvenirs The pricing of goodies to bring home has a wide range. You often can get some good bargains in the locals shops versus the larger stores.
There's not a whole lot of shopping to be done on Turks & Caico's, unless they have expanded since I was last there. For the most part you can purchase slogan T-shirts at the dive shops for about $12.00 to $15.00 or beach towels for $10.00. There was a little cluster of shops across the street from the Allegro Resort. It had a few nifty stores such as clothing & other trinkets. I think we spent all of 2 hours there and covered every shop. Conch is like the Turks & Caico's emblem. If you were to find any neat conch jewlery or anything to do with Conch it would make a good souviner
There is a variety of shops at the ports of Call Shopping Plaza. There are a few different craft shops including Mama's and shops selling diving gear, sportswear, t-shirts etc. There are a few shopping plazas around, but after a tour of the island this one seemed the best one.It is a few minutes walk from Grace Bay beach and is also on the route of the Gecko bus that services most of the major hotel resorts. Various nik-naks such as Conch shells, t-shirts, pictures etc.Not really sure what the local crafts were as such, just a variety of interesting looking things, so go for whatever takes your fancy I guess.
