  • Coco Bistro

    Providenciales Island Restaurants

You need to make a reservation in advanced to dine here. I'm talking about weeks earlier or even months earlier. This place gets booked out fast. We were lucky to have gotten a reservation here by a taxi driver who knows someone inside. He got us a reservation for the same day. What a life saver! Without him we wouldn't have been able to dine here....

  • Airport Restaurant

    Providenciales Island Restaurants

This is the only place to eat at the airport. They have free wifi. After the security gate, there's no other restaurants that sells food inside. You can only get snacks inside of the airport. The food was ok. We had the conch curry and fish and chips. I guess it's better than airplane food. Make sure you fill your tummy before you fly out.

  • Back to Barbie's

    Grand Turk Restaurants

Every single time we go to Grand Turk, we make it a point to go downtown to Barbie's. It had been several years so this time I failed to bring a list of my favorites there and had them put together some things for us. I still recommend all of the items from the first visit -- see my other review -- but DO NOT miss the chicken curry. I don't even...

  • Cruise stop

    Grand Turk Favorites

Carnival Corporation created a cruise terminal for ships under it's umbrella, Carnival, Princess and Holland America. Two ships can dock at the terminal and from there you can walk to the beach, Margaritaville and a couple of other restaurants along the beach. Like most cruise ports that Carnival has built, there is shopping without having to step...

  • Ferry Ride To Grand Turk

    Salt Cay Transportation

The ferry ride to Grand Turk is a fun little adventure; however, if you are prone to seasickness, it might be a good idea to take Dramamine first or, better yet, to eat lots of salted soda crackers (which is probably the easiest, cheapest and best cure for motion sickness). The ferry itself is a little boat similar to the ones in the picture....

  • Shopaholics beware!

    Salt Cay Shopping

With only two little grocery stores (which are well shelved with essentials, by the way) and a general store humorously called "Shopping Center", Salt Cay is not a shopper's nirvana. But who would go to such a peaceful, out-of-the-way, little place like Salt Cay to shop anyway, right? If shopping is your thing, then go to Miami. This being said, you...

  • The whole island is off the beaten path

Salt Cay Off The Beaten Path

Salt Cay truly is a lovely little piece of paradise and just getting there makes you feel like you have strayed from the beaten track. We were there during the Christmas holidays (which is a busy season anywhere in the Caribbean) and we often felt as if we were the only tourists on the island. The picture shows part of North Beach, one of the...
