April 27, 2013 Just received word that 80 year old friends leaving to come home were stopped at the airport, officials claimed that the man had a bullet in his luggage. This is a false charge. The man is in Jail at this time, his wife is standing by at the jail not knowing what to do. I'm sure the police and the airport people are in this together. Any body know any way to help these people?
The first thing the wife must do is contact the relevant embassy for her and her husband's citizenship. If they are US citizens contact information is here:
Security personnel should be required to show their open hands to both the passenger and to a CCTV immediately before handling a person's luggage. The potential for abuse must be addressed.

Exit Fees
by LouisianaTraveler
While everything at Beaches resort on Providenciales is included, many people rely mostly on credit card/debit cards. When you leave, there is a fee to leave the island at the airport. Some people have had to pay as much as $25 American and as low as $6. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, so you just have to be prepared with CASH money for the exit.Consider that Provo streets and roads are a work in progress. When I was there in March of 2004, the streets were being worked on at the time. A local boat captain thinks the place will be completely transformed within 10 years.
Airport Security

Warning to potential and/or habitual smugglers!Upon entrance to Turks and Caicos, I was harassed and eventually strip searched for drugs which were non-existent.Let it be know that I was a wiseass and refused to put up with their sht ...but this I'm sure led to further harassment. If these money hungry ,over-employed and under worked customs agents who like to touch male crotch start to fu.ck with you on line ,just keep quiet if you're packing something.Otherwise let the assholes embarass themselves when they waste their time to find nothing but underwear lint.BTW,I still came back with some sh.it....suckers.
Wear Sunblock

The sun is strong especially during the peak hours of the day. Do yourself a favor and wear plenty of sunblock and re-apply requently. Nothing spoils a vacation like a bad sunburn.
