St. John is more laid back, & St. Croix is a bit more sparsely populated & less touristed, so neither of them have anywhere near the nightlife of St. Thomas.
On STT, various resorts have popular nightclubs & beach bars, as well as the plethora of local hot spots all around the island. E.g., Molly Mallone's & Duffy's Love Shack both in Red Hook, the Greenhouse in Charlotte Amalie, & Tickles dockside at the Crown Point Marina.
Details to follow when I get the St. Thomas page built, but meantime just check for tourist information when you get there, & ask around.

The rapidly escalating crime rate on St. Thomas is NO JOKE, so please be careful & use your good sense when you're out for a wild night on the island. I know, I know, that sounds like an oxymoron, but you can plan ahead to the extent that you only take as much money with you as you wish to spend, don't drink & drive just take a cab, and don't go off the well-beaten path especially after dark. If you're a female, it's not a real good idea to be out partying alone, so try to find someone else in your resort for a party buddy.
And always ask the locals for good specific information. The bartender at the Island Beachcomber beach bar, Candy Wilkerson, was wonderful, she had all kinds of tips for me! (So I gave her good $ tips too, ;-)
Dress Code: Most places away from the beach require shirts & shoes, but that can be a skimpy tank top & a beat up pair of thongs for all they care...unless you're in one of the nicer resorts or restaurants, of course!

On St. Thomas, go to the Greenhouse. Its a resturant at day, and a night club at night. If you are on Tortola, go to Bumba's Shack. Just ask someone and they will know where it is.
Both places are a lot of fun, and if you go to Bumba's on Tortola, try to make it for the Full moon party. Its once a month, and they serve this Mushroom punch. Its a great a experience.
Dress Code: Very laid back, Caribbean style.

Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke. Foxy is a character, an old reprobate, who has entertained guests with stories, poems, singing and guitar playing. He entertained us with a poem of slavery and how he would not be the person he is without his ancestors being brought out of Africa in bondage.
Powerful drinks, great music and dancing on the sandy beach. Foxy's is a place you have to see and experience for there is no adequate description. Parties can go on most of the night.
Interesting items for sale in his boutique.

Every weekend a steel drum band comes to this resort and plays music for all the beached tourists and locals. Also, every night there is some form of entertainment here including dancing, steel drum bands, some crazy woman who walks on glass and the ever frightening karaoke night where you just may hear a Jimmy Buffet song. ya think?
Dress Code: go naked - it's more fun.

Most of the drinks here come in containers the sze of small continents. Kick back a few after a nice day spent sprawled along the beach.
Dress Code: absolutely no dress code. You could come in wearing a fig leaf and you'd still get served.

Duffy's love shack is like no other bar. You get to take home a lot of stuff like your beverage glasses. Try the head hunter. The food here kind of stinks, I know this because I worked there. Save your money for the drinks. Friday nights are crazy. Oh..and Thursday nights are theme nights and you'll probably get dressed in fun costumes. Young atmosphere. Good dance music.

Nightlife in St. John looked like the usual bar scene you could find thousands of places. Get to sleep early, get up early, and maximize your time on those glorious beaches!

Right on the beach at Cruz Bay, looking across to St. Thomas. Live music and great rum and cokes, light or dark.
Dress Code: Come on, you think there is a dress code on St. John?
